1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tabhaven ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Tabhaven is a browser tab management application that allows you to save, organize, sync, and share your browser tabs across devices. The Service includes features such as:

• Saving unlimited browser tabs with metadata
• Organizing tabs into hierarchical groups and tags
• Real-time synchronization across devices
• Password-protected private groups
• Shareable tab collections with optional password protection
• Archive and trash management with auto-cleanup
• Search functionality across your tab collections
• Multiple workspace support

3. User Accounts and Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining access to the email address associated with your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Using password protection for any sensitive or confidential tab collections
• Keeping your private group passwords secure and confidential
• Managing and remembering your private group passwords

Magic Link Authentication: We use passwordless authentication via email. You must have access to your registered email address to log in.

4. Data and Content Responsibility

Password Protection: You acknowledge that Tabhaven provides password-protected private groups and you are solely responsible for:

• Determining which tab collections require password protection
• Properly configuring password protection for sensitive groups
• Managing and remembering your private group passwords
• Understanding that we cannot recover passwords if lost

Content Ownership: You retain ownership of your content (tab URLs, titles, organization, etc.). However, you grant us a license to process, store, and sync your data to provide the Service.

Shared Collections: When you create shareable links, you are responsible for:

• Controlling who has access to the share links
• Managing passwords for password-protected shares
• Deactivating or deleting shares when no longer needed
• Understanding that anyone with the link can access shared content

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Store or share illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Store or share content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or other security threats
• Disrupt or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Abuse the sharing feature to distribute harmful or illegal content

6. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to:

• Provide advance notice of planned maintenance when possible
• Minimize service disruptions
• Maintain data integrity during outages

7. Waitlist and Access

Access to the Service may be controlled through a waitlist system. By joining the waitlist, you acknowledge that:

• Access may not be immediate
• We may grant access at our discretion
• Waitlist status does not guarantee access
• We may modify or remove the waitlist system at any time

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to unprotected tab collections
• Data loss due to user error, hardware failure, or third-party service issues
• Issues arising from lost or forgotten passwords
• Content accessed through saved tab URLs (we store only URLs, not page content)
• Changes to external websites or broken links

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Data Backup and Export

While we implement reasonable backup procedures, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data. The Service provides export functionality to help you backup your content. We recommend:

• Regularly exporting your tab collections
• Keeping records of important URLs separately
• Understanding that we sync data but are not a primary backup solution

10. Account Termination

Either party may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be disabled
• Your data will be retained for 30 days for account recovery
• After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted
• You should export your data before requesting termination
• All shared links associated with your account will be deactivated

We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for extended periods, or for other legitimate reasons with reasonable notice when possible.

11. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental consent to use the Service.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, or through binding arbitration at our discretion.

14. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the Service.
